On Friday it was off to Wiltshire for me to photograph the wedding of Poppy & Mark at the wonderful Larmer Tree Gardens. What a lovely setting for a wedding…and Poppy & Mark had decided to make the most of what the venue had to offer by getting married in the little temple with all their guests sat outside in the grounds. Very romantic!
As usual I started the day’s coverage with the preparations of the bride and bridesmaids at nearby King John Inn, Tollard Royal, and was able to capture lots of the little details Poppy had prepared plus the escalating preparations of the girls! Then I made my way over to the venue to meet up with Mark and his groomsmen who were seating the last of the guests and eagerly awaiting Poppy’s arrival! As Poppy made her way across the lawn towards the temple she was assisted by her brother Jim.
After a beautiful and simple ceremony the newlyweds exited the temple to be congratulated by their friends and family. There was plenty of time for drinks and games on the lawns, followed a short while later by cream teas. I snuck Poppy and Mark away for some romantic couples portraits around the grounds, before everyone retired indoors for the wedding breakfast.
If you were a guest at Poppy & Mark’s wedding you can register to see the full picture gallery (after the bride and groom have seen them first of course!) by clicking HERE. In the meantime please enjoy a sneak preview of a few images from their day below:
