Wiltshire Wedding Photography at the Rectory Hotel

V & Andre held their wonderfully intimate wedding celebrations at the lovely Rectory Hotel in Crudwell Wiltshire and I was there to capture everything! V got ready upstairs at the hotel with the help of her bridesmaid before making her entrance into the conservatory, where the ceremony took place. Despite the restrictions the Wiltshire registrars place on photography during the service I am really pleased with the shots I was able to get, including V trying to get her engagement ring off in time for the exchange of wedding rings!

After the ceremony everyone enjoyed the autumnal sunshine outside on the lawns before heading inside for a wonderful bunch of speeches.

Dorset Wedding Photography – Rachael & Dan at Parley Manor

Saturday saw me heading down into Dorset for Rachael & Dan’s wedding in Ferndown, near Bournemouth. Due to me being on maternity leave and Rachael & Dan’s busy schedules in the run up to the wedding we hadn’t had a chance to meet up in person before their actual day…so it was lovely to finally meet them and put faces to names!

I started my coverage as usual with the bride’s preparations which were taking place at Rachael’s parents house. The mood was relaxed and everything was running to schedule so I was able to get some lovely pictures of Rachael having her hair and make-up done before it was time to put on the dress.

I then headed down the road to St Mary’s church, where the ceremony was to take place, to meet up with Dan and the boys. After a lovely service with readings from both of the couple’s mums it was time to head over to Parley Manor for the reception.

Parley Manor was a new venue for me so it was fun to explore somewhere different and I have to say, it was a gorgeous place with a fab marquee in it’s own private courtyard garden. I took the couple off for some romantic portraits of the two of them around the grounds and we managed to time it just right before the rain started.

I’m not sure if it’s because I spend the day staring at people’s faces through my camera lens but I often notice that people I photograph look like famous faces…and I like to think that this was my celeb wedding! I don’t know if you’ll agree but I was convinced that Rachael looked like the actress Kate Hudson whilst Dan looked the spitting image of Noel Wyle (Dr Carter from ER)!

Rachael and Dan’s full gallery will go online in a few weeks time once they’ve had a chance to view the images first themselves, and if you’d like to be notified when the gallery is live please register your details here. In the meantime here are a few images from their day:

Coming Soon! Rachael & Dan’s Wedding at Parley Manor

I expect to get the full blog post up sooner rather than later, but just to keep everyone ticking over…here is a picture from Rachael & Dan’s gorgeous wedding on Saturday in Dorset:

Devon Wedding Photography in Torquay – Emily & James

I have been doing a lot of Somerset weddings this year so it was a nice treat to head down to Devon last weekend for the wedding of Emily and James in Torquay. As I said in my “coming soon” post, I don’t often get to photograph at the seaside so I was really looking forward to the portrait session down at the beach that we had planned for after the church service.

The sea was a major feature of this wedding…Emily and James had met through their mutual love of sailing, the marquee was decorated with a nautical theme, and it even featured during the bridal preparations as part of the amazing view from Emily’s parents house!

After photographing Emily putting the final touches to her preparations I headed over to the church to meet up with James and capture the arrival of some of the guests and the bridesmaids. Before I knew it Emily had arrived! I don’t think I’ve ever seen a bride arrive as early as she did (which apparently is quite unusual for her too!) so she must have very keen to marry James.

Afterwards everyone made their way across town to James’ parents house for the marquee reception whilst Emily, James and myself did their portrait session at a nearby beach – making the most of some fantastic props such as deckchairs and beach huts!

Emily & James’ full gallery will go online in a few weeks time and you can register your details here to be notified as soon as it does (well, once the couple have seen their pictures first!). In the meantime here are a few images from their day:
