Well after six months off on maternity leave it was finally back to work for me on Saturday with the wedding of Thabata and Mark in Bath. If I started off a bit rusty it all soon came flooding back to me as I got swept up in the nervous excitement of the bridal preparations with Thabata, the bridesmaids and her family.
Thabata had chosen a gorgeous Jenny Packham wedding dress which suited her figure perfectly and she teamed it will a simple long lace veil and a stylish little shrug. As she neared the end of her preparations I headed over to Prior Park College where Mark was welcoming the guests and waiting for the arrival of his bride!
I love photographing weddings in the chapel at Prior Park as it is such a beautiful place…full of light and amazing architecture that makes a wonderful backdrop for the ceremony. The service concluded with communion and the signing of the register, before Thabata and Mark led their guests outside.
We made our way to the steps at the back of the college, which overlook the most fantastic view of Prior Park and the rooftops of Bath…and with it being such a lovely sunny day you could see for miles. After the group photographs were finished we sent everyone else over to the reception venue, Wick Farm, whilst Thabata, Mark and myself stayed behind to get some relaxed portraits.
