Well I hope everyone had an enjoyable Christmas and New Year – I certainly did! Although the week in between saw me photographing two different weddings so I was pretty busy! First up was Nessa and Jonathan’s lovely day at Orchardleigh, near Frome in Somerset.
They chose to get married in the tiny estate church St Mary’s which Nessa had ensured was decorated beautifully. This church is well known for being small and intimate and has no electricity so has to be lighted purely from candles! This makes for a very atmospheric service…although it also made it a bit difficult for the guests to read the words to the hymns off the orders of service! Luckily the vicar had a flashlight for Nessa and Jonathan to use!
After the ceremony Nessa donned a fetching pair of pink wellies and we headed to the lakeside to get some romantic couples portraits of the two of them. The lake was shrouded in a blanket of white mist which made for some lovely dramatic images. We then headed back to the main house for a few more pictures around the entrance before warming up inside!
