Thankfully the snow and ice had melted in time for Carol & Sean’s wedding at Hornsbury Mill near Chard on Saturday. I joined Carol at the hotel as she got ready with her mum and bridesmaid Anna, being very organised she was already made-up and had her hair done by the time I arrived, so I spent a bit of time photographing her dress and other details. And pretty soon it was time for her to be actually putting on her dress!
I then went down to the bar to meet up with Sean and his best man and to photograph the arrival of the guests. Carol and Sean had opted for a small and intimate wedding, with just 37 of their closest friends and family to celebrate with them. The ceremony itself took place upstairs at the Mill and was personalised with some readings from two of the couple’s friends. Once the formalities were over, everyone retired back to the bar to enjoy some warming drinks and canapes.
