Somerset Wedding Photography – Dinah & Jerry at Maunsel House

I was back at Maunsel House on Saturday for the wedding of Dinah and Jerry. Dinah is the in-house florist at Maunsel House so the venue had that personal connection for her. Plus, as you can imagine, with the bride being a florist the flower details were fantastic!

Dinah and Jerry have been together for many years and the story of how they met each other at exactly the right time in their lives really touched me, so it was lovely to see the pair of them taking their marriage vows in front of all of their friends and family. Dinah was excited to see Jerry all dressed up as she’d never seen him in a suit before, and I have to say he did scrub up quite nicely!

The ceremony itself took place in the library of the house with all of the guests gathered around. Because it was quite an informal affair, there wasn’t an aisle as such, so Dinah was escorted into the ceremony room by her daughter Alice, who was also one of the bridesmaids. After a short but beautiful service, which included readings by Dinah’s sister Deb and Jerry’s daughter Kate, everyone enjoyed drinks and nibbles whilst they congratulated the couple.

During the reception I snuck Dinah & Jerry away for a few minutes to get some relaxed portraits of the two of them around the grounds of Maunsel House and we made use of the last of the autumnal colours on the trees lining the driveway to the house.

Suppliers: Dress: Monsoon; Cake: Marks & Spencer; Florist: The bride!!!; Caterer: Posh Nosh.
