Saturday’s wedding must go down as my closest wedding to home ever as I spent the day with Helen & Mark at Brympton D’Evercy on the other side of Yeovil to where I live! It was a bit of an overcast day with lots of threatening grey clouds but we were very lucky and managed to escape the whole of the wedding without any rain – phew!
I started my cover with Mark and guys who were finishing dressing and helping each other put on their buttonholes. Mark’s best man managed to stab him in the chest with the pin whilst trying to fix the flower to his jacket lapel – quite an achievement I thought. The guys had matching, very colourful and floral ties which was a nice touch.
Next I made my way to the bridal suite to catch up with Helen who was in the midst of having her hair and make-up done. I took the opportunity to photograph her dress and some of the other details, such as her beautiful flowers and gorgeous Jimmy Choo shoes. Soon enough it was time for Helen to get into her dress and then I made my way over to the ceremony location to await her arrival.
After a lovely civil service with some unusual readings from their friends everyone made their way outside into the grounds of the house to enjoy drinks and canapes.
