Back down to Devon for me on Saturday, for the first time since April! Alice and Jeremy were married at Lewtrenchard Manor near Okehampton, and although the day dawned with grey skies and lots of rain, thankfully by the time everything was ready to start the skies had brightened up and the rain stayed away! Which was fortunate as Alice had her heart set on walking across to the village’s church from the manor house with her family, including Coco her dog who was dressed to the nines with a sparkly lead and floral collar!
Jeremy was very nervous in the morning before the ceremony when I met up with him and his groomsmen as they tried to relax with a glass of champagne. Jeremy is from New Zealand so a lot of his family had travelled an extremely long way to be with him and Alice on their special day. The ceremony took place in St Peter’s church in Lewtrenchard and was a very relaxed and informal affair – mainly thanks to the laid-back nature of the vicar!
Afterwards everyone made their way back over to the manor house for drinks and canapes outside and I managed to sneak the couple off for their portrait session around the grounds. Alice & Jeremy had allowed plenty of time for their drinks reception so we didn’t need to rush anything and they were able to spend a good amount of time mingling with their guests.
If you were a guest at Alice & Jeremy’s wedding you can register to see the full picture gallery (after the bride and groom have seen them first of course!) by clicking HERE. In the meantime please enjoy a sneak preview of a few images from their day below:
