Melissa & David’s Wedding – Alexandra Hotel, Lyme Regis

After a few weeks off from weddings it was nice to get back into the swing of things with Melissa & David’s wedding on Saturday. Another trip down to Lyme Regis for me, to the Alexandra Hotel where I had been only a few weeks ago. The weather was a massive improvement on the last time I was there and we got to make use of the lovely hotel grounds and even ventured beyond to near the beach.

The morning started off with Melissa’s preparations, where she was helped by her mum into her bespoke-designed dress, made by Special Occasions in Worcestershire. Melissa’s mum explained some of the little details of the dress and accessories, including the use of Dorset buttons (for a Dorset wedding!) and the embroidered bee on Melissa’s bag (Melissa means bee in (I think it was) Greek!).

The ceremony took place in the hotel’s lounge overlooking the sea, and although short it was very sweet, with personalised vows, and Melissa and David couldn’t seem to keep their eyes off each other!

After congratulations from their guests the three of us slipped away for some couples portraits outside. Although we didn’t have time to make it all the way down to the beach we did manage to get some of the views in the background of some of the images. Then it was time for some mingling with their guests before heading into the dining room for speeches and the wedding breakfast.

Melissa & David’s full gallery will go online in a few weeks time, once they’ve been into the studio to see their images first. But in the meantime here are a few images from their day:
