I have been busy throughout July photographing children on location for our Children of Somerset Book Project. In case you’re not aware of this project – we are photographing children across Somerset to raise money for the wonderful children’s charity Make-A-Wish Foundation. So far we have raised an amazing £750 for them and have helped them grant more wishes to children and young people fighting life threatening illnesses. All children photographed as part of the project will feature in a coffee-table book we are producing to be called Children of Somerset. Any profits from the sale of the book will also go to Make-A-Wish.
However, we urgently need to photograph 20 more children by the end of September if we are to be able to get the book published in time for Christmas. So we have reduced the amount of the donation we require for families to take part to just £25. For this donation you will receive a portrait session on location in Somerset, with each child photographed being included in the Children of Somerset book, and the chance to purchase any prints/products you wish for yourselves.
In order to offer this reduced donation, and to maximise the number of children we can photograph by the end of September, we have specified the dates and locations that the sessions will take place on. These will be:
Monday 7th September – Barrington Court* – sessions available: 10am, 11.30am & 2pm.
Monday 14th September – Ham Hill Country Park – sessions available: 10am, 11.30am, 2pm and 3.30pm.
Friday 18th September – Montacute House* – sessions available: 10am & 11.30am.
Monday 21st September – Hestercombe Gardens* – sessions available: 10am & 11.30am.
* An entrance fee may be payable at these locations.
If you know anyone with children who might be interested in taking part please ask them to give me a call on 01935 848881. More information on the project can be found on our dedicated blog here.
