Nikolina & Rob’s Wedding – Huntsham Court

Nikolina & Rob are a pretty laid-back couple so it was obvious that their wedding was going to be a relaxed event…which came in handy when their vintage bus was late getting people across Exmoor to the tiny little church in Twitchen! With the service starting nearly an hour later than planned it was also lucky that the vicar was Rob’s dad Pete. This meant that the service was very personal and touching, and I have to say fun – with three of the family’s dogs roaming around the tiny church!

After the service Nikolina & Rob headed back to Huntsham Court in their MG Midget just in time for a display of traditional morris dancing – which I’m sure left a few of the Finnish contingent a little bemused!

The guests tucked in to afternoon tea whilst Nikolina, Rob and I headed outside with the dogs for some photographs.

The full gallery will go online in a few weeks time (check back here for updates), but in the meantime here are a few photos from their day:

*** UPDATE *** Nikolina & Rob’s full gallery is now online and can be viewed here.

Nicola & James’ Wedding – Kitley House

The weekend just gone saw me heading down to Plymouth for the wedding of Nicola & James. First stop was Nicola’s parents’ house to photograph the preparations. Nicola’s bridesmaids wore really unusual dresses in a gorgeous purple colour and her own dress was made by someone in their home village.

With 3 bridesmaids, 1 best man, 8 ushers and 1 master of ceremonies – the bridal party was huge! Although it helped that two of the bridesmaids were called Caroline, and several of the men were called James, like the groom, so that made it a bit easier for me to remember names!

After the church service in Newton Ferrers it was off to Kitley House for the reception. Nicola & James had splashed out on a HUGE bottle of champagne to share with their guests, but getting the cork out turned into a bit of a fiasco!

Nicola & James’ full gallery will go online once they’ve had a chance to come in and see their pictures first. But in the meantime here are a few of my favourites from the day:

Halswell House Wedding Fair – 2nd November 2008

I am pleased to say that I will be exhibiting at Halswell House’s wedding fair on 2nd November 2008. The fair will run from 11am until 5pm and I believe that admission is free. For more information visit their website here.

On my stand I will be showcasing two brand new sample albums from weddings shot this summer, and one of them will be of Mandy & Rich’s wedding at Halswell House back in August.

This will be the only wedding fair I’ll be doing this autumn/winter so if you’re coming along, do make sure to stop by and say hello!

Rachael & James’ Wedding – Maunsel House

On Saturday I was in North Petherton for Rachael & James’ wedding. Rachael got ready with her bridesmaid Nettie at Maunsel House, where the reception would be held later. It was all very relaxed and she was soon joined by her mum and sister-in-law Kate. Rachael was very lucky because Kate is in fact bridal dress designer Kate Sherford, who had designed an absolutely stunning one-off dress especially for her! And wow, what a dress, it was gorgeous!

Next it was off to meet up with James and his two best men Nathan & Rich at St. Mary’s church in North Petherton. Rachael was led into church by the entire choir who did a processional – what an entrance! After a wonderful service there was time for confetti outside before everyone headed back to Maunsel House for the reception.

Although it was quite blustery, the forecasted rain never really materialised and we were able to get some fantastic shots of the newly married couple outside using the wonderful autumn foliage as backgrounds. And I just HAD to take a shot of James’ colourful socks, worn especially for the day!

I had a great time being a part of their wedding and I can’t wait to catch up with them again when they return home from honeymoon, after which their full gallery will go online. In the meantime please enjoy some of my favourites from the day below:

Suppliers: Dress: Kate Sherford; Cake & Catering: Posh Nosh; Florist: Marshmallow Flowers.
