Becky & Howard’s Wedding – Loseley Park

Another busy weekend just gone with two weddings…the first of which was in Surrey! I don’t often travel outside of the South West area for weddings but Becky (who lives in Chicago) found my website whilst searching online. It must have been a bit of a nightmare trying to organise a wedding in the UK whilst living in the US but Becky did a fantastic job, from the beautiful setting, to the lovely heartfelt vows they made each other, and the gorgeously decorated barn where they had their evening reception.

Because of our locations, I hadn’t been able to meet up with Becky & Howard before their big day to do a pre-wedding portrait session. But they were both very relaxed and natural in front of the camera, so I had no problems getting some fantastic images of the two of them together in the stunning grounds of Loseley Park. Whilst their guests made the most of the late summer sunshine and enjoyed drinks and canapes in the walled garden with entertainment from a harpist and caricaturist.

Becky & Howard’s full gallery will go online in a couple of weeks time – check this post for updates. But in the meantime here are some of my favourite images from their day:

Sarah & Matt’s Wedding – West Camel & The Eastbury Hotel

Well on Saturday I had a very special wedding to cover…that of my brother Matt and his beautiful girlfriend Sarah! It was very strange being a major part of a wedding and also photographing it, but it was so nice to be able to watch them make their vows from up close – especially when in his nervousness, Matt tried to put the ring on the vicar’s finger, causing us all to get the giggles!

Sarah had put so much time and effort into the little details of the day – the orders of service, table decorations and favours – and everything looked spectacular. And the little flower girls had so much fun dressing up like princesses for the day.

I am very lucky that my brother chose such a lovely person to marry – and I’m so excited that I finally have a sister! I wish you both all the best for your future together xoxo!

Sarah & Matt’s full gallery will go online once they’re back from their honeymoon and have had a chance to see their pictures, but in the meantime here are a few of my favourites.

**Update** Sarah & Matt’s gallery is now online and can be viewed here.

Nikolina & Rob’s Pre-Wedding Portrait Session

Today saw me visiting Stourhead Gardens for Nikolina & Rob’s pre-wedding portrait session. We had a glorious day for it and although we were a bit lazy and didn’t wander too far into the gardens we still got lots of fantastic photographs.

Here are a few of my favourites:

Jo & Matt’s Pre-Wedding Portrait Session

Later this month I’ll be photographing Jo & Matt’s wedding at the wonderful Charlton House in Shepton Mallet, and there was just enough time to meet up and do their pre-wedding portrait session at Hestercombe Gardens.

We had lovely weather for it and Jo & Matt were such fun and game for a laugh – see the bottom image for an example of one the silly things I had them do for me! Sorry Jo, I know you’re not keen on this one but I just had to post it!

Debbie & Stuart’s Wedding – Crown Hotel

Last weekend was Debbie & Stuart’s wedding, which took place at Okeford Fitzpaine church, followed by a reception at the Crown Hotel in Blandford. I started the morning off with some coverage of Debbie’s final preparations before heading over to the church to photograph Stuart and the guys and the arrival of the guests.

Unfortunately due the rules of the local vicar I wasn’t able to capture any part of the ceremony apart from Debbie’s arrival and the couple’s departure. It’s always such a shame when a vicar or registrar thinks they are doing the couple “a favour” by not allowing photographs during the ceremony, as now this important part of their day won’t be in their album. Surely it should be up to the couple whether they want to have photographs during the ceremony or not?

Next it was off to their reception where everyone managed to enjoy a drink outside and the rain held off just long enough for us to get all of the photographs we needed. Please check this post for updates on when Debbie & Stuart’s full gallery will go online. But in the meantime here are a few images from their day:
