Emma & Stuart’s Wedding @ Ston Easton Park

On Sunday I got to be a part of the fantastic celebrations at Emma and Stuart’s wedding at one of my favourite venues Ston Easton Park. Emma (with help from her wonderful wedding planner Julia) had spent a lot of time finessing the details of her day to make sure it was as spectacular as possible and I think she more than succeeded! From the beautifully decorated house, with tea lights, candles and petals on the staircases and mantelpieces and wonderful floral arrangements around the front door, to the champagne fountain and chocolate covered strawberries it was a day that I’m sure that both they and their guests will never forget. I know I won’t!

Whilst Emma got ready at the hotel, Stuart arrived in style – by helicopter! After his James Bond moment he collected their honourary guests, Leo & Ben their two beagles, who even had their own special wedding day collars.

After a lovely civil ceremony and religious blessing the guests got to enjoy champagne and canapes in front of the hotel. The celebrations continued after the meal with more champagne on the terrace and everyone was kept amused by the pianist, magician and caricaturist. The wonderful day concluded (for me at least!) with a casino (complete with fake palm trees!) and an amazing fireworks display – even spelling out their initials in flames!

So congratulations to Emma & Stuart – I really enjoyed being a part of your day. Below are some of my favourite images from the day.

Mandy & Rich’s Wedding @ Halswell House

From the first time I met Mandy and Rich I knew they were going to be an absolute blast to work with, and after the fun we had on their pre-wedding portrait session back in May I was really looking forward to their wedding. Well, on Saturday the day finally came and I can say that it really was as much fun as I expected!

Mandy and her bridesmaids got ready at the wonderful Halswell House, in Goathurst just outside Taunton, Somerset where they would later have their reception, and she looked absolutely stunning in her Jenny Packham dress and Gina shoes.

Although she had planned to walk down the aisle by herself, Rich couldn’t help himself from walking up to meet her half way, and then they walked the rest of the way together. After the church service in West Monkton everyone headed back to Halswell House for the reception.

Mandy and Rich were keen to get lots of photographs of them together and so I was able to spend time with them both during the drinks reception, and again after the meal when we went up to the folly/temple that we’d used during their pre-wedding portrait session. I got so many fantastic shots of them that is was hard to choose which ones to put up here!

They are now off on a fantastic honeymoon to Australia so I won’t get to see them for a while, which means a bit of a wait for the guests to view the photographs. But hopefully the selection below will tide everyone over until they return. Congratulations guys and thanks for letting me be part of your day!

Pre-Wedding Portrait Product

Apologies for the lack of posting over the last couple of weeks, I’ve had a couple of wedding-free weekends – which has given me a nice break, and left me raring to get photographing again! But this weekend more than made up for it with two fantastic weddings which I’ll be blogging about later this week!

In the meantime, here is a photo of Debbie & Stuart’s storyboard that was produced using some images from their recent pre-wedding portrait session. Doesn’t it look fab?

Bring On The Trumpets!

Not photo related…but I just had to share that I’m absolutely LOVING this advert at the moment. It makes me chuckle every time I see it – even though I have no idea what it means!

Jo & Chris’ Pre-Wedding Portrait Session

Another pre-wedding portrait session today – this time with Jo and Chris at Hestercombe Gardens, near Taunton. With this being the school holidays (and such a nice day!) the gardens were pretty busy, which was a little embarrassing for Jo so we tried to seek out the less public parts of the gardens. Luckily with Hestercombe there is always somewhere else to go so we had no trouble finding some quieter spots!

Here are some of my favourite images from their session:
