Saturday’s wedding was that of Kate & William who were married at the village church in Winterbourne, Bristol, with a marquee reception afterwards in Kate’s parents’ garden. Kate got ready at her parents house, which was only a few doors from the church, and was quite calm and collected despite the mayhem going on in the rest of the house! She looked stunning in her bespoke dress by designer Karen Reilly, who is based in Bristol.
The church service was very moving and I think William was the most nervous and emotional groom I’ve seen all year! Afterwards everyone made their way back to Kate’s parents house to enjoy drinks and nibbles outside on the lawn in the sunshine. Meanwhile, Kate, William and I snuck off for a wander around some of the country lanes for photo opportunities.
The marquee was decorated beautifully and had a real English country garden feel to it with gorgeous flowers from Court Farm Florists in Winterbourne. The cake was particularly lovely…it was made by Phaethon Ltd – William’s mum’s business.
