Last weekend I had two weddings to photograph, the first being Clare & Paul’s on Friday at The Bridge House Hotel in Beaminster. Clare got ready upstairs with her mum and sister Sarah so it was all very girly! Even Clare & Paul’s daughter Holly joined in too – although she was there mostly for the biscuits!
The ceremony took place in the hotel’s Georgian Dining Room and it was very intimate and atmospheric. For a moment though I thought I’d got the wrong room when the registrar announced the marriage of Paul and Chris…making both Sarah’s fiance and Clare’s dad (who are both named Chris) look very worried!
Afterwards everyone celebrated with drinks in the hotel’s beautiful gardens and the rain kindly held off until everyone went in for the meal. Paul had arranged a little suprise for Clare during the speeches – with a special appearance from his very own fairy godmother who did a wonderful poem about them both.
Later on the families boarded a vintage bus and headed down to West Bay for a seafood supper at the Riverside Restaurant. Before dinner the three of us braved the wind to explore the seafront at West Bay and got some more great images.
