Katherine & Luke’s Wedding – Tone Dale House

On Wednesday I had the pleasure of photographing Katherine and Luke’s wedding which took place at Shepton Beauchamp church. The weather wasn’t the best but I don’t think Katherine really noticed as she was so nervous in the morning that she felt sick! Luke, on the other hand, spent the morning relaxing in the hot tub – and I think he would have stayed there all day if he hadn’t had to go to church!

Katherine looked beautiful in her dress and her outfit was complemented by a bouquet of country garden style flowers, and a little thistle hair comb. As bridesmaid, Katherine’s little cousin Eleanor was also a bit nervous about walking down the aisle but she did an excellent job and looked after the bride’s flowers as she said her vows.

After the church service the guests were transported back to Tone Dale House in Wellington on a lovely vintage bus for the reception – which involved lots of cake – mmmm!

Here are few pictures from Katherine & Luke’s day – thanks for letting me be a part of it!

Carla & Damien’s Wedding – Burley Woods

Saturday saw me down in the New Forest for Carla and Damien’s wedding which was a bit of a break from the usual format as they got married in a beautiful clearing in the woods on the edge of Burley. Everything about this wedding had an usual twist about it that reflected Carla and Damien’s personalities (well, mostly Carla’s I think!) from her stunning dress covered in butterflies, to the personal and touching service, the wildflower bouquets and the cutting of the hog (instead of the traditional cake!). It was truly a unique event that I enjoyed being a part of.

Emma & Stuart’s Pre-Wedding Portrait Session

Today is my birthday! I won’t say how old I am but lets just say I wish it still started with a “2″!!!

And what better way to celebrate than with a pre-wedding portrait session? I met up with Emma & Stuart at Ston Easton Park – one of my favourite local venues and where they’re getting married in August – to do their shoot. They’d brought their two beagles along with them – Leo & Ben – and we had fun wandering round the grounds and trying to keep the dogs attention from all the exciting scents they wanted to follow!

At the end of the session we celebrated a successful shoot (and my birthday!) with a glass of champagne – thanks guys!

Here are a few of my favourites from their session:

Belinda & Tim’s Wedding – St Ives & Scorrier House

At the weekend I took a trip down to St Ives in Cornwall for Belinda & Tim’s wedding on Saturday. Although Belinda is Australian, Tim’s family live in Cornwall and the town of St Ives has always been a special place for the two of them. After a couple of lovely sunny weeks it was disappointing that the weather changed just before the weekend. But it was Belinda’s dream to walk to the parish church along the harbour front and fortunately the rain held off long enough for her to do so, and for us to get some fantastic pictures along the waterfront after the service.

Then, as the heavens opened, it was off to Scorrier House near Redruth for their reception. The guests had already arrived – courtesy of two vintage buses ferrying them from St Ives – and everyone enjoyed the champagne and canapes before dinner. The rain stopped long enough for us to sneak outside for a few more photographs and the bluebells along the driveway made an excellent location!

The speeches were spread out between the courses of the meal, and even Belinda did one. For their first dance, the couple chose Starship’s “Nothing’s Gonna Stop Us Now” and everyone enjoyed the 80’s flashback!

Congratulations guys – it was great being part of your wonderful day! Here are a few of my favourite images:

Jayne & Neil’s Wedding – The Swan, Bibury

Last Saturday I had the pleasure of photographing Jayne & Neil’s wedding in Bibury. This was my first visit to the Cotswolds and the beautiful village of Bibury. It was a very picturesque setting and the weather was perfect – which was fortunate as Jayne and Neil’s speeches were held outside in the riverside gardens at the Swan Hotel. Despite the chaos of Jayne’s room as she got ready by the time she made it down the aisle with her Dad she looked serene and beautiful.

Oh, and I have to mention that Neil and the men must have spent a good 20 minutes trying to put on their ties..it was quite amusing to watch!

It really was a fantastic day and I’m so pleased that I got to play a small part in it! Here are some of my favourite images from their day:
