My first wedding of 2008…and what a way to start! Vicky and Tim got married in Weymouth and wanted to go down to the beach to do some photographs. So on came the wellies and out came William the dog – who was an absolute star! Well apart from the near accident on Vicky’s beautiful dress!

The weather was fantastic for us – cold but sunny – and you wouldn’t know from the pictures that these were taken in the middle of January that’s for sure.

After the photo session it was off to Ston Easton Park for their reception. We got there with just enough time to get some photographs of the two of them outside before it got dark. And they got to enjoy their relaxed drinks reception in cosy comfort.

Vicky had little potted flowers on each table as favours for the ladies. This doubled up as the floral display for the table and also was the theme of the table!

Vicky & Tim’s photo guest book proved popular and enticed everyone to leave lots of messages…

The End! I can’t wait to meet up with Vicky and Tim and show them the rest of their pictures.

I’m really pleased for my June couple Sarah and Phil who have had their wedding featured in Wedding Ideas magazine’s current issue. Check out page 172 to read all about their day and to see some of their photographs. Sarah was in tears when she found out that her wedding was going to appear in the magazine as it had been her bible throughout her planning!

Instead of a MY favourites of 2007 blog post I’ve decided to ask my wedding couples to pick THEIR favourite image and explain why. So here is another 2007 favourite – Elizabeth and Lee who got married on 14th September. It wasn’t an easy decision for them to make but in the end they chose this image and here’s why:

“When we saw your display at a wedding exhibition, we could tell that you had a special talent and from the moment we met you and found out that you were available our minds were instantly put at ease knowing we were in safe hands. We think it is amazing how you managed to catch the most intimate moments without once making us feel like we were in a goldfish bowl. We love the way you managed to capture the feelings and emotion of the whole day. Your images and personality always bring a smile to our faces and we are truly grateful for your input to our day!”

“We’ve been through the photos again and have agreed that this is our favourite image – where we are in a woodland setting in between two car parks! We love the way the image captures the feel of the day, with a simple natural setting. All the photos from the day were amazing. We constantly look back over them to remind us of our special day and all the exciting and varied things that happened, including the trampolining in our wedding outfits!”
