Rachel & Trevor’s Pre-Wedding Portraits

Just before Christmas I met up with Rachel & Trevor, who are getting married in February, for their pre-wedding portrait session. We decided to do their shoot in the National Trust grounds at Stourhead which are normally very beautiful. However the day we went it was so foggy we could hardly see a thing!

The fog definitely limited the type of photographs I could take and it was tough going – although I was still able to get some lovely images of the two of them together. Here are a few…

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!

I just wanted to write and wish a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all of my clients from 2007, to all my future clients in 2008 and beyond, and to anyone else who might be reading this blog!!!!

This has been a fantastic year for Caroline Pilling Photography and I’ve had many wonderful people to work with and (without sounding too smaltzy!) feel privileged that I’ve been invited to photograph their special days. And I’m really looking forward to next year as I have some amazing couples and their weddings to photograph!

I want to thank everyone who has taken time to read my blog throughout the year and I hope that you will continue to enjoy it next year!

Merry Christmas!
Caroline

Emma & Alex’s Wedding

My last wedding of 2007! On 15th December I went down to Kenton in Devon to photograph the wedding of Emma and Alex. They had a wonderful church service followed by a reception in the village hall. So much effort had been put into decorating the hall and it looked absolutley amazing with twinkling fairy lights and a lovely Christmas tree – very festive!

We managed to sneak off to the grounds of Powderham Castle to do some natural portraits of the couple and although she must have been absolutely freezing Emma was a great sport!

Here are some photographs from their day…

Vicky & Tim’s Pre-Wedding Portrait Session

So here are my first 2008 couple! Vicky and Tim are getting married next month so I met up with them last week to chat about the timings for their day and to do their pre-wedding portraits.

We did the shoot at Ston Easton Park where they will be having their reception and it was nice to make use of the grounds as we won’t have much chance to on their wedding day due to lack of light. And what a great day we had for it – it was cold and clear – the perfect winters day!

Here are a couple of images from their session…

Liz & Jason’s Wedding

Well it seems like ages since I had a wedding! With none in November I thought I’d be having a nice relaxing break but it wasn’t to be…far too much work to catch up on!

So on Sunday 2nd December it was back to doing what I love best – I was in Cardiff to photograph Liz & Jason’s big day! Well it wasn’t a great day for it – gale force winds and driving rain but the Miskin Manor was warm and cosy and made a wonderful location for their service and reception. Plus with all the decorations and Christmas trees the place gave a real festive feel to the day.

Liz had decided not to go for a traditional cake – but instead had gone for one made entirely out of cheese! It was fantastic and made my mouth water just looking at it!

Here are a few photographs from their day…
